Le printemps est arrivé et les oiseaux m’ont chanté des chansons. J’étais dans une période sereine et agréable. Intensément créative sur tous les front et toutes les dimensions. 
Pour cet album, je voulais de la fraicheur et donner à ces nouveaux morceaux une dimension plus rythmique et planante. J’ai créer un univers organique et végétal avec une touche de folie douce. Cela rends ce projet un tantinet espiègle et décalé, dans un souffle poétique.

JuDe – Singer Songwriter – New Album – La Dame Oiseau

Spring came and the birds sang songs to me. I was in a serene and pleasant period. Intensely creative on all fronts and dimensions.
For this album, I wanted freshness and to give these new pieces a more rhythmic and soaring dimension. I created an organic and plant-based universe with a touch of gentle madness. This makes this project a bit mischievous and offbeat, in a poetic breath.

Biographie

Julie Devonin est une autrice-compositrice-interprète et comédienne.

Pendant mes études Art du bijou et du Joyaux et à travers la création de bijoux, j’ai développé ma réflexion de création. J’ai également réalisé des pièces qui sont porteuses de messages et qui racontent des histoires. Dès lors, j’ai découvert mon équilibre vital entre créer et raconter.

C’est ensuite en autodidacte que je transpose ce processus aux domaines artistiques qui viennent définir mon style de vie. Chaque projet nécessite une réflexion autour de la discipline qui serait le plus adapté pour exprimer les messages et les histoires.

Jusqu’en 2005, j’ai photographié la vie avec des appareils jetables. Une période retranscrivant une adolescence en couleur. J’ai exposé cette collection Ado-Récente” aux côtés de Denis Tancredi et Sandra Eterovic lors du parcours d’artiste de Namur. C’était pour moi un réflexe, un jeu, une passion.

En 2005, j’ai commencé à me produire sur scène et à écrire des chansons, dont certaine font parties du projet JuDe où je compose et interprète au chant et à la guitare. En 2013, j’ai repris la photographie avec le numérique. Il semblerait que la pratique de prise instantanée soit une caractéristique essentielle de mon travail. Des photographies de plus en plus abstraites ont suivi. En 2016, j’ai commencé à mettre en valeurs mes photographies, associées à des poésies, dans le projet Fleurs Urbaines.

En 2019, je produis ma démo One de 7 titres enregistrés en home studio avec l’aide de Jérôme Van Den Bril à la deuxième guitare (Lylac, Sonnfjord), Cédric Folie au mastering, Kevin Matagne et Nicolas Callandt.  

En 2020, je réalise un vidéo clip très personnel, au coin du feu, en hommage à ma toute première chanson écrite en anglais et en français : To hack something to pieces.

Aujourd’hui, je continue à promouvoir mes projets lors d’expositions ou de concerts.

Julie Devonin is a composer, songwriter, singer and actress.

Originally from the south of France, Julie Devonin found her inspiration in Belgium. She then evolved within different artistic disciplines, particularly in music, dance and comedy, where she writes, composes and performs according to her desires.

“During my studies of Art of jewellery and gems and through the creation of jewellery, I developed my creative thinking. I also created pieces that carry messages and tell stories. There, I discovered my vital balance between creating and narrating.

It is then as a self-taught person that I transposed this process to the artistic domains that define my lifestyle. Each project requires a reflection around the discipline that would be the most adapted to express the messages and the stories.

Until 2005, I photographed life with disposable cameras. A period transcribing an adolescence full of color. I exhibited this collection Ado-Récente alongside Denis Tancredi and Sandra Eterovic during the artists’ paths in Namur. It is for me an instinct, a game, a passion. In 2005, I started to perform on stage and write songs, some of which are part of the project JuDe where I composed and sang with a guitar. In 2013, I picked up digital photography. It seems that the practice of snapshots is an essential characteristic of my work. More and more abstract photographs followed. In 2016, I began showcasing my photographs, paired with poetry, in the Urban Flowers project.

In 2019, I produced my 7-track demo One recorded in home studio with the help of Jérôme Van Den Bril on second guitar (Lylac, Sonnfjord), Cédric Folie on mastering, Kevin Matagne and Nicolas Callandt.

In 2020, I made a very personal video clip, by the fire, in homage to my very first song written in English and French: To hack something to pieces.

Today, I continue to promote my projects in exhibitions and concerts.”
